Eva Robin's: "I became famous one summer thanks to an octopus. And that striptease at Paolo Villaggio's house..."

Eva Robin's life has never lacked anything: she was a playback singer for Amanda Lear, she shot erotic films, she frequented VIPs and undressed for them (the strip show at Paolo Villaggio's house is famous), all this always chasing and building a feminine image on a male body .

Not an easy feat, La Stampa reports, in a prudish Italy that had been free since the 1970s, long before issues of sexual identity took center stage. Eva Robin's reveals previously unseen details, such as the decisive summer in her career: "Photographer Roberto Granata," she tells La Stampa, " did a photoshoot of me, completely naked, on the Costa Smeralda. An octopus wrapped itself around my ankle, and he saw it as a sign of great luck and prosperity, and so it was: the photo appeared on the cover of Photo magazine and other publications."

Eva Robin then recounts the episode of the striptease at Paolo Villaggio's house: "It was '82 or '83, I had gone to this party at his villa in Sardinia with a trans friend of mine, but when word got around that, unlike her, I hadn't transitioned, Paolo begged me to do a striptease : Bianca Jagger, Bulgari, and Florinda Bolkan were there, and I was shy and wild, but not in showing off my body, so I did. The reactions? Of great, admiring surprise. They certainly didn't throw slices of salami at me in protest. And then I stayed to sleep with Villaggio . From then on , I became the summer playground of the rich VIPs on the Costa Smeralda."
